The Challenge

Ruth Nathan’s Bow Ties and Accessories was born from the vision of their owner and lead designer, Nicole Brown. It is her desire that Ruth Nathan’s handmade accessories not only make customers look spectacular but feel spectacular as well, positively influencing them to feel better about themselves. Their first website was built in Squarespace and lacked the cohesive branding needed to be memorable and had very few online sales. Nicole frequently sold at trunk shows and maker markets and wanted to push more sales online.

The Solution

As an entrepreneur Nicole needed to directly understand that the associated expenses related to the website truly would be an investment in the future of Ruth Nathan’s. Once she understood this, we went to work. From our detailed discovery process, we were able to better understand the vision for the next version of RuthNathans.com and then we added our expertise to the mix.

We produced a mockup that not only inspired Nicole but brought her great joy that she decided to work with Demonstr8d. From our initial designs, we were able to add all of the elements to make her online presence great. Nicole was more than blown away by our launch. The brand elements we produced inspired their social media designs and marketing strategies.

In looking to drive more traffic to the website, we began with a fully-white hat link building campaign to signal to all the major search engines that Ruth Nathan’s is a credible site for people looking for handmade accessories. Initial results show that we have increased the amount of users to the site, the number of pages viewed and time spent. These are great leading results that will generate more visits and revenue for the accessory company.
